After closing her joint tour with mogul husband Jay-z, Queen Bey will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. The illustrious list of past recipients includes Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Madonna, and the King of Pop himself. Queen Bey wont just be getting honored she will be performing at the awarded show this year. Beyoncé leads the nominations for this year’s VMAs with eight total including Video for the Year for the Jay Z-assisted “Drunk in Love.” The last time Beyonce performed “Love on Top” at the 2011 VMAs, where she announced her pregnancy with the world. The VMAs will air live from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday, August 24, at 9 p.m. Previously announced performers include Usher, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, 5 Seconds of Summer, and Maroon 5.
